ART DIRECTION & MARKETING

 

Relevant Skills and Experience:

  • Generating and improving upon an appealing visual identity to effectively convey the attendee experience during the promotion and marketing for this event and its subsidiaries.

  • Capturing of photo and video content during live events, and creating motion and static graphics to improve engagement and visual quality of such content.

  • Collaboration with talent agencies, booking specialists, and production managers to ensure the decided art direction of the show is maintained and properly represents the performers as well as the experience.

  • Strict time management to achieve deadlines regarding digital and print promotional media and marketing.

  • Effective communication with external stakeholders and partnerships to ensure their brand identity is conveyed effectively on our promotional programming.

Through my position at the University of Lethbridge, I had the pleasure of working as the lead for marketing and art direction for the annual student welcome music festival, Fresh Fest, and its subsidiary events, for five years. Through my position working on the Fresh Fest organizing committee, I work closely and constantly with producers, talent agents, as well as performers themselves. This is to ensure the art direction and marketing of the event are effectively promoting the experience to potential attendees while maintaining the public image the artists hope to achieve.

Unfortunately, Fresh Fest 2021 was canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions. So I am unable to publicly post imagery from the event.
